Iraq's history has been filled with violence, brutality, and bloodshed. From foreign wars to tyrant leaders, the people of Iraq have seen their fair share of hard times and war. In 2003, the United States invaded Iraq in order to defeat Saddam's regime. During this war, the terrorist insurgency was born and continued to attack the coalition forces stationed in Iraq.
Operation Vigilance 4
The year is now 2012. Heavy fighting continues to rage in the area as both the UN and the MEA continue to pour huge resources into the Middle East. Initially, the civilians in the area showed favoritism to the MEA because of successfully working alongside the locals and keeping violent incidents to a minimum. The UN, on the other hand, has had a much harder time keeping the peace with the Iraqi populace with numerous reports of civilian deaths in the region. What seemed like an obvious victory for the MEA in winning over the hearts and minds of the populace, a new faction has emerged. This unnamed group of rebels and extremists believe that no outsiders, regardless of origin, should be allowed to lay claim to Iraq and its people. After several years of compliant pacifism, a staggering increase of terrorist attacks on both MEA and UN forces continue to be reported.
PMC (Private Military Contractor) forces have moved into the country and have begun offering their services to those who pay. Without proper regulation, the contractors have become more gutsy and more involved in the combat in Iraq, willing to take more and more dangerous and hostile contracts.
